Bank of Mauritius becomes member of Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE)
 
OECD/INFE is a forum that brings together central bankers and policy makers from over 125 countries. It constitutes an important platform for the sharing of best practices and experience on the promotion of financial literacy.
 
The OECD/INFE provides support to policy makers and public authorities in terms of the design and implementation of country-specific financial education strategies. It also proposes innovative methods for a more effective roll out of financial literacy programmes.
 
Mauritius Emerging Technologies Council to promote high quality research in emerging technologies
 
The Mauritius Emerging Technologies Council Bill will soon be introduced into the National Assembly. The Mauritius Emerging Technologies Council Bill aims to establish a Mauritius Emerging Technologies Council (METC) and promote high quality research in emerging technologies.
 
METC will act as a centre of excellence for driving the promotion, development and adoption of technologies in Mauritius with the objective to boost the national economy. These aims and endeavours are in line with what has been previously communicated by the Government of Mauritius.
 
New member of the National Regulatory Sandbox Licence Committee
 
Ms Carine Charlette, Director of Financial Intelligence Unit, has been appointed as a member of the National Regulatory Sandbox Licence Committee.
